Fencing and outdoor structures

AI for fence companies

Fencing is an estimate business. The job is won or lost on whether the call gets answered, whether the site visit gets booked, and whether anyone follows up on the number you quoted. HumCrew is designed around all three and can connect the approved workflow to the software you already run. The demo uses only a dedicated HumCrew tenant and demo records.

How calls actually go in a fence shop

Spring buries you

The season turns and every homeowner wants a quote the same month. The office picks up what it can, and the rest of the calls become someone else's jobs.

Estimates are the product

Almost nothing sells on the first call. The call books a site visit, the visit produces a quote, and the quote needs chasing. Each handoff is a place the job can die quietly.

Territories get crossed

When booking is manual, estimators end up driving past each other on the highway. Routing by zip should be automatic, not tribal knowledge in the office.

A Saturday call, illustrated

  1. 01A homeowner calls at lunchtime on Saturday about replacing a backyard fence. The office is closed. The agent answers on the first ring and says it is an AI assistant for your company.
  2. 02It collects the address, what the customer wants, rough scope, and any gate or material preferences, asking the way your own office would.
  3. 03It checks the zip code against your territories and books a site visit into the right estimator's HumCrew schedule. Writing that visit into external field service software requires a separately built and verified connector.
  4. 04Where carrier registration, consent, and routing are complete, the customer can get a confirmation text. Your estimator sees the booked visit with the full call summary attached, not a voicemail to decode.
  5. 05After the visit, an approved follow up path can be configured. The current Sales and Automation modules remain limited until that deployment path is verified.

The software fence companies actually run

Fence shops run Jobber, niche field service platforms, general CRMs, and a lot of spreadsheets. Almost none of them run the platform the funded AI products require, which is why those products have never built a fencing page. We scope integrations around what is actually in your office, then verify the available API or custom connection before promising a read or write path.

Common questions

Can an AI agent really book fence estimates?

Yes. The agent answers the call, collects the property address, the type of work such as new fence, repair, or gate, and the customer's timing, then books a site visit into your schedule. It routes the visit by zip code so the right estimator gets it, and it tells every caller up front that they are speaking with an AI assistant.

We do not run ServiceTitan. Does that matter?

No. Jobber, another platform, or a custom system can be evaluated as a separate engineering project. External connectors are not part of the current HumCrew core; the exact access and read or write paths must be scoped, built, and verified before use.

What happens to quotes that do not close on the spot?

HumCrew can scope text and email follow up against the approved system and provider paths. The current built-in Sales and Automation modules are limited, so a complete timed follow-up sequence is not represented as enabled until it is configured and verified for the deployment.
